You may be referred for further testing with your GP, or the use of scientific based functional testing may be recommended to detect and address any underlying causes of your ongoing health concerns. Testing offered through a Naturopath consultation at Aloe Health includes, but is not limited to:

Food Intolerance Test

The foundation of physical, mental, and emotional health is a sound digestive system. Without healthy digestion, the function of other systems in the body will be compromised, leading to an array of health challenges.

Underlying food intolerances may be the cause of health issues such as headaches, skin conditions, bloating, abdominal pains, constipation, or diarrhoea, sinus congestion and fluid retention.

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a condition where an overgrowth of bacteria which normally reside in your large intestine, occurs in your small intestine. This causes symptoms including persistent abdominal bloating and cramping, flatulence, constipation and/ or diarrhoea and reflux. A breath test and treatment plan to overcome SIBO is offered at Aloe Health.

Stool Analysis Test

A specialised Stool Analysis Test can detect the underlying issues of your digestive upsets. This includes yeasts, parasites (intestinal worms), the ability to digest and absorb your macronutrients, inflammation levels, immunology, short chain fatty acid (SCFA) levels and other intestinal health markers. We offer Doctors Date Stool Analysis Testing.

Urine & Saliva Hormone Test

Hormonal imbalance symptoms may include sleep and mood disorders, weight gain, headaches, skin conditions, irregular and painful menstruation, and fertility problems. An accurate way to detect the underlying cause is through a Urine & Saliva Hormone Test.

Urine & Saliva is an accurate way of testing your hormones because it measures the free and active hormone levels. Blood hormones on the other hand are predominantly bound to a protein and rendered inactive. Therefore, blood hormone tests are not as accurate to detect hormonal imbalances.

The Dutch Complete Urine Hormone Test also tests the metabolism of sex and adrenal hormones, giving a more accurate indication of required treatment.

Thyroid Testing

An underactive or overactive thyroid can cause issues with your moods, energy, skin, weight, hair and nails, digestion, cold tolerance and fertility. A blood test for the whole thyroid panel is important to gain a full understanding of your thyroid health. TSH, T4, T3, RT3 as well as Thyroid antibodies are among those tested in a Complete Thyroid profile.

Mineral Status

Through a Red Cell Elements Test, you can gain a picture of your intracellular mineral status, over the past 3-4 months. Instead of a hair tissue mineral analysis, which shows what the body is throwing out, the Red cell Elements Test shows what your levels are inside your cell and therefore what your body has access to using, for functions of health.

Heavy Metal Toxicity

A Whole Blood Elements Test indicates levels of dangerous heavy metals in the body. Heavy metal toxicity is associated with symptoms that include mental confusion, pain in muscles and joints, headaches, short-term memory loss, gastrointestinal problems, food intolerances and allergies, vision problems, chronic fatigue, and others.

Kryptopyrroles Test (Mauve Factor)

Kryptopyrroles are a product of Haemaglobin synthesis and have the potential in individuals with Pyroluria, to build up in the body. Kryptopyrroles have the tendency to bind to Zinc and Vitamin B6, making them unavailable to the body. Consequently, high Kryptopyrrole levels cause nutritional deficiencies and these deficiencies drive the symptoms of the condition.

High-Mauve patients can experience skin conditions such as acne, pale skin (compared to other family members), stretch marks and skin dryness, among other signs and symptoms, such as abdominal pain, allergies, anxiety, hyperactivity, cold hands or feet, constipation, delayed puberty, depression, dyslexia, explosive temper, hypoglycaemia, impotence (in males), irregular periods, migraines, morning nausea, pessimism, poor dream recall, sensitivity to light, sound and odor, social withdrawal, stress intolerance and white spots in fingernails. A urine Kryptopyrroles Test can be arranged through your Aloe Health NΒ opath consultation.
